5 days* lookbook | OUTFITS OF THE WEEK

Hello everybody,
as promised last week I'm bringing you the outfits I wore this week. Everyday I took a little bit of my time in the morning and snapped a picture for you! SO let's get right into it and start with Monday !

Monday

So on Monday I decided to go with something neutral and keep it quite simple especially color wise. I went with my navy blue shirt that has a dotted pattern that makes it a little more interesting, then I paired it with my grey skinny jeans from Forever 21 and tucked my shirt in to make my waist stand out. To compliment the outfit I decided to go with brown and earth tone accessories like my brown belt and my H&M scarf that was mentioned in my last look-book.

Tuesday

Here comes today and probably my most colorful outfit of the week! On Tuesday I decided to wear my new Iska dress that I got a long while ago when I was in France. This time I showed only half of it and styled it like a skirt where I paired it with a simple navy blue sweater from H&M. Little tip I can give you is to use a belt and tuck your sweater in to create an effect that you're wearing a skirt when in reality it's a dress. Because winter still hasn't said its last words I had to put some tights underneath my skirt also so I went with my gray S.Oliver tights that have a simple pattern on them. As a functional accessories I'm wearing my Primark watches that I wear basically almost every single day ! And to give a little touch of color to my outfit I decided to wear my sephora matte lip cream that I've reviewed couple weeks ago.

Wednesday

My Wednesday outfit goes with the color scheme of Pantone's color of the year. If you haven't heard this year we have two colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity ! I just love this year's choices so subtle and girly :) But back to my outfit, as my top I'm wearing my grey turtle neck shirt from F&F on top of it I'm wearing my pink blazer that I modified a little bit with this gorgeous silver brooch to fit my silver accessories choice. As my pants I wore my H&M high wasted jeans, every time when I wear them they made me think of retro style ! On my hands I'm wearing a pearl bracelet with my D&G watches, and of course the whole week I was wearing my nude nails that are featured in this post. For my shoes I went with white/grey oxfords.

Thursday

On Thursday I returned to the earthy natural tones again. I went for a brown skirt with a geometric patterned shirt that I paired with a pair of black tights and a patterned skirt that gives this outfit a little bit of life. On my hand I'm wearing my black watches that I mentioned in my Ebay haul about a month ago.

Friday

This whole week I was trying to challenge myself to wear clothes that I haven't worn in a while. I applied this rule on Friday especially when I decided to wear my light blue blazer from S.Oliver that I got like 2 years ago. Underneath that I'm wearing a baby pink short sleeve t-shirt from Esprit. As my bottom I'm wearing my white skinny jeans from Mango and to finish this outfit off I'm wearing two bracelets, a pearl one and a multicolored one with gold details. This outfit has a lot of color of the year vibes as my Wednesday outfit.

So that's it my 5 outfits that I wore this week ! I hope that you liked this kind of post I'm going to try to keep up with it and bring you the same portion of style next week also :) Feel free to share your outfit with me as well I love to get inspired from other people's combinations.
Bye :)

Red Lentil Curry * RECIPE |

Hello :)
After a little while I'm bringing you another recipe that has become a staple in my life when it comes to a quick easy meal that basically cooks itself. I'm talking about my red lentil curry that includes just couple ingredients and it's ready in about 20 minutes. The best part about this recipe is that almost everyone can enjoy because it's vegan, so there's no meat, no diary and gluten free also ! So let's get to the ingredients.

500 g of red lentils
2 tomatoes
1 carrot
0,5 l of water (or more if needed)
1 onion
4 cloves of garlic
some oil
1 tbsp of curry powder
2 tbsp of soy sauce
salt up to taste

this makes about 4 servings or more depending on how much you eat :)

Start off by cutting your onion in to small pieces and then with your minced garlic you're going to add it to your pot with a little bit of oil. Then add the curry powder and pre washed lentils in to the pot also and let it on high heat for about 3 minutes or until the onion starts to get golden. Now you're just going add the water to the mixture so that it covers all the lentils. Bring water to a boil and then switch to medium heat. It takes about 15 minutes until the lentils start to soften up and create a paste like consistency about a half way in that means after 7 minutes add your chopped tomatoes and carrots to the mixture and let it cook for another 7 minutes. Keep checking if there's some water in the pot because sometimes the lentils will absorb it all and then you risk getting your lentils burnt. After 15 minutes check your lentils and according to the desired consistency turn it off or continue cooking. When I was doing this recipe for the first it took nearly half an hour for my lentils to get tender so don't worry if they're still a little stiff after 15 minutes just make sure there's enough water in the pot and you can continue cooking them until tender. Don't forget to add salt up to your taste. Now you're ready to serve this easy, quick and healthy dish that everyone will love for its simplicity and flavor.

That's all for today, If you'll try this recipe don't forget to share your tips and pictures in the comments below I'd love to see how yours turned out :)

7 Tips * For Healthy Hair |

Happy Wednesday everybody !
we're half way there we can do it ! Today I would like to share with you couple tips on how I'm trying to keep my hair healthy and tangle free. I gathered these tips over the years from my own experience but also from my hairdresser, so let's start with tip number 1.

1. Don't over wash your hair
Many people feel the need to wash their hair every day but in reality your hair may get even oilier just because you're washing it to much. It is advised to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, and if you're feeling miserable you can always get a quick fix with some dry shampoo.

2. Wash your hair in cold water
I know that we all love a hot steamy shower in the winter and cold water just gives us goose bumps but your hair will thank you, believe me ! When you're washing your hair with hot water it makes your hair more likely to get tangled and it dries them out also which can result in overproducing oil. Also washing your hair in cold water will help your hair look more shiny and less frizzy. My tip on how to survive this cold hair washing is to wash your hair separately, that means not while taking a bath, I usually start by just washing my hair in cold water with a shower head and then I take a hot steamy bath :)

3. Always brush your hair before washing it
This way you're hair won't get as tangled and it will be a lot easier to brush through once your hair is dry, because you certainly don't want to brush your hair too much while it's wet that can cause some serious breakage due to the fact that your hair is a lot more fragile when wet. My favorite hair brush is my tangle teezer, definitely makes a difference.

4. Sleep with a fish tail/french braid or another hairstyle
This one will not only save your hair from damage but it's also going to save you a lot of time in the morning. Imagine waking up with a completely brushed out hair that need just one pass with a comb and you're done. Don't forget to alternate the styles so that your hair doesn't get damaged on the where you put tie on it.

5. Use conditioner and shampoo on the right places
A lot of people of think that you need to apply the shampoo everywhere or that you need to coat every single hair in conditioner but that's not true. Normally you should concentrate your shampoo on your roots to really clean your scalp and then gradually go to the ends, but you don't have to put extra amount of shampoo just on your ends because that just dries them out and makes them split. With the conditioner you want to do the opposite, apply it mainly to the end try to avoid your scalp so that it doesn't get greasy as quickly.

6. Visit a salon regularly
From what my own hairdresser told me you should get your ends cut every 3-6 months depending on the length and the quality of your hair. Your hair is going to feel a lot lighter and get thicker and stronger.

7. Don't forget to use heat protection
If you can't resist the urge to create some beautiful waves or to make your hair super straight never forget about protection. Just imagine the heat that you're putting your hair through. Even better would be completely skipping any heat, try searching for some heatless overnight curls instead of using your curling iron every time when you're going for that beachy look.

So this is my little compilation on how I keep my hair healthy and tangle free I hope that you've found this post at least a little bit helpful. My next post is going to be on my outfits of the week so make sure to check that out on Friday. Thanks a lot for reading until next time :)

My Favorite Destinations * Top 5 Places to visit | CROATIA

Hello everybody,
After my, Life in France series concluded I trying to figure out a way how to bring travel related posts back on my blog and so I've come up with a new series called My Favorite Places ! Over the years I have visited several countries that I just fell in love with, during my visits I usually see like a billion things and billion places but only couple of them really make it to my top list. So that's what I would like to share with you today, and there's no better country for me to start with than with Croatia ! Today I'm going to share my top 5 places in Croatia, I would also like to do a follow up to this one that would talk about the top 5 things to try while in Croatia cause, this country has just so much to offer. First let me give you a little backstory on why Croatia.

I have been to Croatia like a million and 1 times and it really feels like home to there. We go there every year with my family, including my extended family like my grandparents, I'm talking about a serious family vacation :D I first went to Croatia when I was maybe 6 or 7 I don't really remember but since then, me and my family return to Croatia to rejoice and enjoy this beautiful country again and again.

If anyone is wondering Croatia is situated in Europe opposite to Italy, many of you may still recognize this country by the name Yugoslavia which is just history today. It's one of the top destinations for family all across the central and eastern Europe especially. For us this country feels really like a second home cause our languages are really similar so it's very easy to talk to everyone even if they don't speak english then another thing is that Croatian people are just one of the nicest people on Earth they are so generous and welcoming they really value their guests ! But let's get to the top 5 because I can ramble about this country for hours :D (I'm going to start from 5 and make my way towards number 1)

5. Split

So Split is a fairly big city with its population of over 178 thousand of inhabitants. It's situated in southern part of Croatia really close to Dubrovnik(which I heard is a beautiful city we're actually going there this year) There's also an airport located right before you enter to the city so it's a very reachable location for people that didn't come by car to Croatia as we do for example. This city offers you a nice historic centre as almost every bigger town in Croatia would, but what makes this city a little bit special is the fact that because it's bigger there's a little bit more things going down. This city really lives, you're going to find here hundreds of restaurants that serve the best home made food that you can imagine, of course expect a lot of fresh seafood. The main dominant of this city is its huge Cathedral of Saint Dominius that is right in the middle of the main square, you can actually climb up the clock tower and see the amazing view of the city, we've even seen a hot tub on top a building from up there :D Apart from this you're going to satisfy you're shopping craving also, little street markets are in every street and they are full of various items including souvenirs, clams, painting or even clothing.

4. Primošten

This is a smaller town than Split and also it's situated a little bit more up north than Split. This city has for me even more character than Split mainly because of the fact that the city is build on huge rocks and almost everytime when we visited Primošten there were some big waves smashing on to these rocks it's really an amazing thing to experience. And the best time to really visit this town is when the sun sets. First start with a delicious dinner in one of the local restaurants with a view of the sea and then take a walk along this rocky mountain that is just going to impress all of your senses. Smell of the ocean, the ocean breeze, there's everything you would want from a city like this.

3. Trogir

This one is very similar to Primošten but a little bit bigger in my opinion, as in the last case it is another beautiful town situated in the heart of Croatia. It's packed surounded by beautoful mountains that give sich a majestic feeling to the old town. You can find a lot of remparts and historical building in the old city center with a really high clock tower also. Like in Split you have the option to climb to the top and enjoy the best view over the whole city ! At the end of your visit make sure to visit a local market that's packed with fresh produce including fruits, lavender, olives and a lot more. If you don't feel like cooking for yourself you're going to surely find a great place to eat in Trogir also and if you'd like to take home something special don't forget to get a portrait of you painted right by the shore next to the city center.

2. Šibeník

City of my heart, many of you may ask why, well basically we live just 5 minutes from this city so we know practically everything in this town. Every morning we visit the local market for some fresh ingredients of course we have to stop buy a local bakery that is packed with all kinds of pastry and bread like in a french boulangerie. In the afternoon you can enjoy a day on the beach enjoying well known Croatian beaches and in the evening you can start exploring the old town that is full of little streets that seem to have a lot of secrets to uncover. Stop by a little garden full of exotic plants, or by the castle everything has it's own feel to it that you're going to fall in love with. And to finish of the night go ahead and enjoy some of the best ice cream or a delicious desert in a small café on the shoreline.

1. Zadar

One of the biggest cities in Croatia will enchant you. As the other ones this one has a beautiful historic center but this time with a modern twist. The main square is lit up with lights and last year we've even seen a light show there. In this city you're going to find one of the biggest markets that's full of everything you can possibly imagine from sweets to iphone cases, really anything. Don't forget to stop by the beach and enjoy some alone time and finish your day with a great pizza or if you're curious about local cuisine feel free to try a traditional dish called Pleskavica.

Overall you really can't go wrong with any of the cities mentioned above but in reality Croatia is full of cities that offer good food, fun for the whole family and even some sightseeing it really depends just on your location. The cities that I've mentioned are mostly situated in the central part of Croatia because that's the part that I know the most. I hope that with this post I gave you at least a little bit of Croatian vibe and some motivation to visit this beautiful sometimes understated country that is ready to welcome you at any time !

Nude Blazer * Emerald Green Top | OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Hello :)
My last look-book was quite a success so I wanted to share with you another one of my outfits today. This time it's just one outfit but I'm planning on doing like Outfits of the week post or something like that where I would just make a compilation of all my looks during the week ! We'll just have to see how that turns out but let's focus on today's outfit. My inspiration for this outfit was my emerald green silk top that has a little pink/nude bow on the size tag. I immediately fell in love with this combination so I looked in to my closet and Viola this is what I've come up.

Sorry for the lighting but I had to take the pictures early in the morning so I had to use some artificial lighting cause it was still super dark outside.

Let's go from the bottom, as my jeans I'm wearing just a pair of regular black jeans that I actually got quite recently in Forever 21 for just $10, great price in my opinion. Then as my top I'm wearing that emerald top that I mentioned in the beginning, It's from a brand called Reserved I think that it's only available in central Europe, but I think that you can find a top like this anywhere ! On top of it I'm wearing my blush blazer that just compliments the emerald green beautifully don't you agree ? Why haven't I thought of this combination earlier! This blazer is also from the brand Reserved and it was about $30 I don't really remember I bought it a long time ago.

In terms of accessories I went pretty simple, I decided to wear a gold geometric necklace with 3 triangles each being a different pastel color. (also from the brand Reserved) To go with that I chose a lavender belt from the same brand and a lighter emerald green colored bracelet with gold details. Just to tie the whole outfit together I finished my look with nice golden watches from Primark, they cost me about $5, a steal right and they are totally functional, did came with a battery in them, just great!

As a little bonus I'm also adding my nails of the week that go really well with this outfit. I kinda went with the Japanese trend of glass nails but instead of cutting my own foil to create the glass effect I used one of my favorite effect topcoat from Catrice in Glitterazzi. It's very similar to China glaze's Luxe and Lush if you're familiar with that one. Basically it's a clear base coat in which there are these flakes of all different colors, they change depending on the light, it's really a beautiful top coat that's going to change any boring look to a interesting one. And that's exactly for what I went with my nails this week also.

I applied 3 coats of my Sally Hansen Café au Lait, a nude/blush pink color I would say it's like a light skin tone color. Then on my middle and index finger I applied a concentrated amount of the top coat first on to a sponge just to pack on the flakes and then transferred it on to my nails like when doing gradients. Last step is just to seal it with a top coat and my nails were Instagram ready.

This is really one of those easy nail looks that look awesome and will make everybody think that you've got your nails done at a salon.

So that's it for today I hope that I gave you a little inspiration with my little outfit of the day/nails of the week post ! Thanks for your support I really appreciate that someone is reading through my thoughts ! :D That's all for today Bye :)

Top 5 Shows * To binge watch right now | Glee, Botched, 90 day Fiancé, Property Brothers, Modern Family

Hello !
I wasn't quite sure about what to write for you today but while I was browsing through my computer I suddenly got an idea. In one week here in Slovakia we're going to have spring break and that means a lot of sleep, relax and a lot of free time to watch whatever you like maybe 20 episodes of your favorite series in one day or a new documentary that has just been released on Netflix. Just recently Netflix launched here in Slovakia so Hooray for that ! But that's not the topic for today, well it's quite close to Netflix. Today I would like to share with you my top 5 picks on my favorite TV shows to binge watch during spring break.

1. Glee
If you've never heard of Glee you're seriously missing out on a great series full of music. If you're that kind of a person that just can't get enough of amazing covers on youtube and some teen/adult drama than this 45 minutes long series full of the best musical performances is something for you. I have watched every episode and got really attached to the cast, I really think that this series is very inspiring and if you're currently in High School you're going to relate to this one so much but even if you're an adult or already retired I think you can find a little piece of something that you're just going to love about Glee, as an ad would say it's FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY ! So hop on this emotional music roller coaster!

2.Botched
If music is not your thing and you're more of a documentary person, Botched might be the best bet for you. It's a mix of documentary, reality show that includes comedy, weird people and a lot of medical stuff ! It's definitely not for everyone but this 45 minute show is packed with at least 3 plastic surgeries in every episode that are not playing around. You're going to get really in to specifics with this one, for some people it may be a little disturbing but for me this one is a total winner for me !

3. 90 Day Fiancé
Have you heard about this one ? This one came to me out of nowhere, I was just waiting for some show on TLC to start and then I saw an ad for 90 Day Fiancé. I was immediately sold, I love hearing about people that move to a foreign country, that have to travel to pursue their dreams. I love all the drama that this series offers, in each season you're going to follow stories of several couples sometimes very controversial ones. I'm just going to mention one from this year's season with a girl from the Philippines(19) that wants to marry an older man that's about 50 years old ! I'm opened to relationships of all kinds so it's really interesting to see how these kinds of relationships work or don't work out.

4. Property Brothers
An obvious choice right ? there are so many seasons of this show that you can spend a lifetime going through them, but I just can't resist. These brothers are just the best duo on the market when it comes to properties. The things they buy, sell and renovate are always so stunning. They are so passionate about what they do and always seem to find the perfect match for their client and the reveal. Everyone is waiting for the reveal, if you love design, house ideas, renovation shows and you still haven't watched this one I strongly recommend you to stop what you're doing right now at give it a try.

5. Modern Family
Last show I would like to recommend today has to be Modern Family. I've chosen it because I felt like my lists needs a good comedy that's actually funny ! Everyone wants to have fun during spring break, right ? A lot of you have probably already heard about this one but in case you haven't, It's a show that follows one big family in their everyday lives. But don't get misleaded, it's not your ordinary family, you'll just have to see for yourself !

So these would be my picks for the spring season this year ! Do you have any recommendations for me to binge watch this spring break feel free to share in the comments down bellow ! :)

Rimmel London * Salon Pro Nail Polish | REVIEW FIRST IMPRESSION

Hello guys,
Recently while shopping at my local Tesco store I've noticed there's a discount display full of nail polishes. Usually I get a couple different types to test them out because normally I'm loyal to my Sally Hansen polishes that I'm obsessed with but I decided to give a chance to these Rimmel London Salon Pro Nail polishes that are supposed to have some special LYCRA formula that is supposed to last on your nails up to 10 days without chipping. Well nicely said but is it true ? Till we come to any conclusion let's go step by step from the application to the whole wear time.

From the colors they were offering I've picked up this beautiful rose color that just seemed very unique to me it's a nice opaque fuchsia color that isn't neon or anything but still is pretty vibrant. I would call it a wearable pink, It doesn't scream Barbie but still you are going to notice this girly pink on your nails as the day goes on. The name of this shade is velvet rose which I think fits perfectly with the shade.

Initially right after I started applying this polish I was very satisfied with the coverage it was almost opaque in one coat. Nice rich and creamy color that was very easy to spread all over my nails. The brush has a nice size, not too big not too small which makes the application easy for beginners in my opinion. After one coat I was left with a nice color with occasional patches, I could see some natural nail peaking through the polish.

After the first coat I knew that this needs at least 2 coats to get to the desired look so I applied another one. This time I was very satisfied with the color, it was opaque very vibrant and I couldn't see any patches at all ! At first they were really shiny not as shiny as Sally Hansen's nail polishes but still a nice amount of gel like shine. Just to see the true wear of this product I'm leaving my manicure without a top coat to see how long is this formula really going to last.

The day of the application it was all nice and even, the drying time wasn't bad. But I slightly changed my opinion the next morning. I have done my nails about 4 hours before going to sleep and still when I woke up I could tell that my pillowcase is stamped on to my nails and almost all the shine is gone. It isn't something you would notice from a distance or even in pictures but when you really closely focus on them you can see that there has been some damage done to your nails. Next time I'm going to use a top coat for sure.

The second day went great till the late afternoon when I've noticed first chip on my right hand. I'm right handed so I wasn't surprised that my left hand looked better than the right one but still the claims on this product is 10 days without chipping and I haven't got even a full 24 h day of no chip wear. In the late evening I noticed some minor chipping on my left hand too.

On the third day I'm starting to see that the polish on the free edge of my nail starts to wear off but I haven't noticed any new chips on my nails.

Not a lot of changes the only thing that has change is my free edge it's even more worn off.

So this is the end of my test I've continued wearing this nail polish for another day and I just didn't like the chipped worn off look at all. So the 10 of wear claim hasn't worked for me I would say that you can get about 3-4 days of decent wear depending on what you do during the day if you're washing a lot of dishes it's logical that the wear time is gong to go even lower.

Final verdict, I love the color it's definitely my new favorite rose shade in my collection. In terms of the wear the only way I can imagine myself wearing this shade is pairing it with my Sally Hansen Miracle Gel topcoat which makes every nail polish stay on for even longer. If you're looking for a gorgeous opaque color give this one a try I can see myself using this one a lot for nail art but In compared with other drugstore nail polish formulas I don't think that this one stands out for me and beats my Sally Hansen Complete Salon manicure polishes or my Miracle Gel polishes. These to stay on for at least a week and look great even after that point.

So you'll have to decide for yourself if this is something that's just perfect for you or if this is a pass. That's all from me for today I hope that you've found this review helpful, till next time :) Bye

Butterfly Wings * TUTORIAL | Nails

Hello !
I hope that you're having a beautiful stress-free week ! Today I have a little nail tutorial for you inspired by the most beautiful insects that exist - butterflies ! Let's get right into it !

Start by applying No plain Jane by China glaze on to your nails. It's a beautiful duo chrome nail polish that shifts from purple to a grayish green color, I can't stop looking at my nails after applying this nail polish. This nail polish is gorgeous but it needs 2 to 3 coats to get opaque so go ahead and apply as many coats as you think will do. I applied 2 coats.

Then I'm taking an artist brush with a tiny tip which I will be using to paint on the butterfly wings. For this step I'm using Sally Hansen's Blacky O. This is the most complicated part of the whole tutorial. Personally I would try using acrylic colors because they are a little easier to work with but I have managed to create the design with a normal black polish also.

You're going to try to outline the edge of your nail and thicken up the line until it looks like a butterfly wing. Then you're going to paint a half circle in the corner of your nail and just connect the outline with this circle by drawing 3 curved lines. To make it look a little bit more realistic try to make the intersection not look as sharp try to curve out the edges and make it look organic and real.

Now for the easier part, take a the same brush that you've cleaned off in acetone and dip it in your white polish I'm using Sally Hansen's Get mood and start painting small dots on the thick black outline on your nail until you get the desired look. Place them randomly cause nature doesn't know any rules ! :D

And that's it, now you just have to seal your design in with 2 coats of topcoat of your choice I'm using the miracle gel one and you're ready to show off your new butterfly wings inspired nails. You can make tons of variations of this design using just a regular nail polish or even glitter nail polish would look great !

I hope that you've found this tutorial helpful and don't forget to share your designs with me I'd love to see them :) That's all for today, Bye
